Remodeling Debris Removal in Plano, TX

Demolition day produces more waste in six hours than the rest of the project produces in three weeks. It is also the load most likely to stop everything if it sits.

The load that gates the schedule

Strip-out is the moment a remodel becomes real, and it generates a load that is heavier and messier than anything else in the project — cabinets in pieces, tile and backer board, plaster and lath in older McKinney and east Plano houses, carpet, underlay and whatever came off the walls with it.

Nothing else can start until it is gone. Electricians will not run cable through it, plumbers will not work over it, and drywall cannot go up while it is stacked against the studs.

So this is the one pickup worth booking in advance rather than reactively. Ideally the day after demolition, before the next trade is due.

A demolition load usually contains

  • Kitchen and bathroom cabinetry
  • Worktops and vanity tops
  • Wall and floor tile
  • Backer board and thinset
  • Plaster, lath and drywall
  • Carpet, underlay and tack strip
  • Timber flooring and skirting
  • Doors, frames and trim
  • Old sanitaryware and fixtures
  • Light fittings and ceiling fans
  • Wall panelling and cladding
  • Protective sheeting and bagged rubble

Book it for the day after the strip-out

That single scheduling decision does more for a remodel timetable than almost anything else.

FAQ

Remodeling Debris Removal in Plano, TX — common questions

How much does a demolition load usually take?
A kitchen strip-out is commonly a half to three-quarter load. A full bathroom is typically a quarter to a half. Both are heavier than the volume suggests because of the tile.
Can you take plaster and lath from an older house?
Yes. It is heavy and dusty rather than difficult. Bag what you reasonably can and the crew takes the rest loose.
What about nails and sharp material?
Expected on any demolition load and handled as standard. The crew works in gloves and the truck is loaded accordingly — no need to de-nail anything.
Is asbestos a concern in Plano houses?
It can be in properties built before the 1990s, particularly in floor tile, adhesives and some textured finishes. If you are unsure, get it tested before demolition. Suspected asbestos needs a licensed abatement contractor and cannot go in our truck.
