A walk-through before anything is lifted. If the job is materially larger than described, you are told before loading, not after.

The crew carries, sweeps the space, and separates what can be donated or recycled from what genuinely cannot.
What to have ready
None of this is required to book, but each one removes a reason for the visit to take longer than it should.
- Photographs of the whole load, taken far enough back to get it all in frame
- The floor it is on, and whether there is a lift or only stairs
- Anything heavy: tile, stone, concrete, a safe, a full weight set
- Anything needing dismantling: a shed, a hot tub, a playset, a treadmill
- Appliances disconnected, and gas appliances capped by a qualified fitter
- Where a loaded truck can legally park, if it is not the driveway

- Do I pay when I book?
- Payment is handled through the Junk Koala platform as part of the booking, so nobody is asked to hand a card over on a driveway. The amount is the price shown for your load before you confirm.
- Can I change or cancel a booking?
- Yes, from your account. Cancellation and rescheduling terms are shown during booking — the earlier you tell us, the easier it is to give the slot to somebody else.
- What if I underestimate the load?
- The crew tells you what the revised price is before loading starts, and you can decline at that point. What will not happen is a different number turning up on an invoice afterwards.
- Do I have to be there?
- Not for anything outside — a kerbside pile, a driveway load or an unlocked garage can all be cleared while you are out. For an interior job, somebody needs to let the crew in.
- How soon can you come?
- The windows in the booking flow are the real remaining capacity, including same-day and next-day when they exist. You are choosing from actual availability rather than being promised a slot that then moves.
