The fix is scheduling, not effort. Book the clear-out when you book the movers, for the day after the van, with a day of margin before the inspection.
The right order

Rentals versus sales
For a rental, "broom-clear" is a specific standard. Anything left can be charged against the deposit at a rate that has nothing to do with what removal actually costs, which is why the arithmetic almost always favours booking a pickup.
For a sale, an empty property is usually a closing condition, and a delay costs both sides. In either case the order is the same: movers, then clear-out, then inspection.
Apartment move-out?
Do not leave furniture at the compactor. Community disposal charges are set as a deterrent and typically run well above a scheduled pickup.

- Can I book for the same day as the movers?
- You can, but the day after is better. On the day, the crew ends up working around movers and a full driveway, and something always overruns.
- Do I need to be there?
- Not if everything going is in the garage, driveway or at the kerb. For an interior clear-out someone needs to let the crew in.
- Will you unbolt the garage shelving?
- Yes. Wall-mounted shelving and storage systems come off the wall as part of the job.
