Bathroom Renovation Debris Removal in Plano, TX

A bathroom is the smallest room in the house and produces one of the densest loads in it. Tile, backer board and a cast iron tub weigh far more than the volume suggests.

Heavy, and usually upstairs

Bathroom strip-outs are deceptively hard work. Wall and floor tile with the backer board still attached is dense, sharp and comes off in slabs. A cast iron tub is a genuine two or three-person carry with no useful handholds. And in most Plano two-storey homes, all of it is on the first floor with a staircase between it and the truck.

The volume is modest — a full bathroom is often a quarter to a half load — but the weight is not, which is why it is quoted with the material in mind rather than by eye.

Where a tub cannot be carried out intact, it can usually be cut down on site. That is worth flagging in advance so the crew arrives prepared for it.

FAQ

Bathroom Renovation Debris Removal in Plano, TX — common questions

Can you remove a cast iron tub?
Yes. Where it will not clear the door or the staircase, it is cut down on site. Flag it when you book so the crew arrives with the right kit and enough people.
Do you take tile with the backer board attached?
Yes. There is no need to separate them — it is one dense load either way and it is priced accordingly.
Is a single bathroom worth booking on its own?
Yes, it is a normal job. If you are also replacing appliances or clearing elsewhere, combining it into one visit is better value.
What about the old toilet?
It goes with everything else. Drain it beforehand if you can — it saves a small mess on the carry.
